Heroines of the sea!

Suitable for 8 to 80 year olds, 'Heroines' will be performed on cliff tops, in the centre of housing estates as well as in traditional theatre spaces. Set sail with us as Captain Jaqueline Montmere achieves the first ever human flight by piloting her winged ship straight into a whirlwind. Sylvia secretly dives  for sea-silk like her mother and grandmother before her and Amka searches for her parents ship in the frozen arctic. Puppetry, ensemble and music combine to mesmeric affect. All aboard!

heroines of the sea! r&D

We had a brilliant 4 day R&D for our first totally original piece. This is the project that inspired us to start Motion Sickness Theatre company and a story that has been in Peter's head for over 9 years. We explored the music and the various different theatre arts that will be present in the completed show..

We couldn't have done it without the incredible support of Chichester Festival Theatre and the wonderfully talented and generous group of people we gathered together to explore and play with us:

Kate Potter, Bertie Haris, Lucy Clarke, Will Palmer, Scarlette Guilfoyle, Jack Walter - Nelson, Emerson Fisher and Liv Dickens.

Want to give us a helping hand gettting one step closer to making our show?

We are currently applying for Arts Council funding so that we can make and tour this show next year. To support our application we will need at least 10% in match funding or in kind support. We would love to hear from you if you believe you could help!
